Space Phase
"The time has come to move on to other worlds in your solar system. Make contact, colonize, or terraform, then venture further to find other solar systems. A ‘mission’ structure provides new goals in your quest for galactic dominance." (www.spore.com) This is the final stage of the game, and will never end. Storyline and "missions" are currently being developed to give this stage motivation, but is probably entirely optional. This stage takes place over many stars each with its own set of planets, a world too big for any one player to explore. Known aspects of this stage include: colonizing other planets, editing worlds with terra tools, and communication / diplomacy / warfare with other highly evolved life forms.
